We have adopted out many of our beautiful cats, potcakes, house dogs and mixed breeds in the last few weeks. If you have space in your home why not make some of our other wonderful companions part of your family. Take a look at our lovely crew
Please be advised that there is a Canine Distemper Virus (CDV) outbreak in New Providence. The attached flyer has been posted on all vet clinic and shelter doors in Nassau. The BVMA is working to contain the virus along with the Ministry of Agriculture.
We go through a lot of food, litter, and laundry caring for up to 300 animals every day! Canned cat and dog food, litter, towels, fleece blankets and bleach are at the top of our wish list- but there’s plenty more we could use! If you see anything on this list you can provide, please do. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter during business hours.
If you haven’t yet bought a ticket for the BHS Raffle time is running out. Pop into the BHS or grab a ticket when you are out shopping from one of the many stores that still have tickets. The draw will take place on December 31st.

Come and join the BHS at historic Jacaranda House on Parliament Street on Friday, November 28th at 7 p.m.
Featured performer for the evening will be London-based, Bahamian opera singer, Franz Hepburn, who will perform renditions of songs from such notable Broadway productions as Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof and My Fair Lady.
Catober Fest has started! You can adopt an adult cat for only $5.00 and get a companion cat for free! All cats have been spayed/neutered and have their first set of shots.
