This competition includes several different categories and age groups. There is something for everyone!
The contest ends on Friday September 16th and there will be a cocktail party on September 23rd to announce the winners.

In the past donors would be alarmed to see the name Sam Hanna appear as the one receiving their funds, but actually the funds go through him to the BHS account. We have changed this so you should now be seeing The Bahamas Humane Society instead, many thanks once again.

Ricardo Knowles (Cardo) Art show for Saturday July 16 7pm – 10pm at Van Breugels Charlotte St .The artist has agreed to a 15% donation of the sale from the collection’s signature peice IMEADOW ST INAGUA. The artist was commisioned by the Government of The Bahamas to produce this painting as a replica of a rare limited edtion Bahamian Stamp. The authenticating documentation describing this provenance will be on exhibit on the evening of the auction. It is retail is $14,000 and its miniumum auction bid is $10,800.00
The Bahamas Humane Society encourages all it’s members and the general public to support this event.
Bahamas Humane Society’s Summer Campers on their daily dog walk through Botanic Gardens, this is a daily treat for the adoption dogs they look forward to these walks with the kids.

A} FOOD AND WATER
B} MEDICATIONS INCLUDING TRANQUILIZERS
C} OLD NEWS PAPERS AND KITTY LITTER
3] USE YOUR UTILITY ROOM OR BATH ROOM FOR YOUR ANIMALS.
4] IF YOU HAVE TO LEAVE YOUR ANIMAL OUTSIDE DO THE FOLLOWING:
A} DO NOT LEAVE THEM TIED UP, LOOSE ALL ANIMALS.
B} PUT COLLARS WITH IDENTIFICATION ON THEM.
C} USE PERMANENT MARKERS TO WRITE ON THE COLLARS
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE TAGS, THIS WILL HELP TO RE –UNITE
YOU WITH YOUR PET. FOR CATS USE BREAK A WAY COLLAR
IF YOU HAVE LIVESTOCK AND YOU HAVE MAKESHIFT PENS OR BARNS PLEASE TURN YOUR LIVESTOCK LOOSE, TO AVOID THE
STRUCTURE FALLING ON THEM

The Story of a rescue pup from Exuma, nickname Bob the builder because he was found tied up at an abandon building site. Bob was brought to the Shelter in Nassau, then he travelled with Kevin to a Shelter in Canada where he was adopted into a wonderful home, his name is now Tiko.
