The first ever BHS Fall Camp turn out to be lots of fun for our happy campers, they watched films, bathe puppys & ponies, pose with puppies for adoption photos and exercised the ponies and lots more actitives to help them become even better animal owners.

FOR PETS THAT ARE FRIGHTENED BY LOUD NOISES.
AND TO REPORT ANY ANIMAL ABUSE BY FIREWORKS
New for this fall! The BHS will be hosting a Fall Mini-Camp October 19th, 20th and 21st. Cost is $30.00/day or $75.00 for all three days. As with our very successful summer camp, children will be hands on with animals of all sorts and learning as well. Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Mini Animal Day Camps 2011
October 19th, 20th and 21st
Ages 5-12
9.00am – 12.00pm
Children learn the basics of animal care and humane treatment. Though educational DVD’s, Kitty Cuddles, Puppy Baths, Dog Walks, Pony Grooming and Rides and interaction with the Bahamas Humane Society Adoption Animals and Staff
Limited space so register early! Fees are payable in advance.
Daily $30
3 Day Mini Camp $75
*Children should bring a snack and drink*
A dog leash and old towel would be helpful.
The dogs appreciate the kids bringing them dog bones, and the donkey,ponies, goats and rabbits love treats of vegetables, fruits and bread.

Our Shelter experience minor damages to our old buildings, but we do have to repair them, please donate towards our efforts in trying to get

Sophia Zeilstra and Siena Kinsale used a part of their summer break to help the much needed animals at The Humane Society’s Shelter. These two animal lovers sold avocados in front of Sophia’s home and raised $62.00 which they kindly donated to The Humane Society. In the Photo Donna is receiving the funds from Sophia as Siena looks on. The Shelter animals says “Thank you very much girls for thinking about us”
With generous, and greatly appreciated, donations of time and materials from Cavalier Construction and KC Painting and Pressure Cleaning, The Bahamas Humane Society has been able to have its main wall repaired and painted. It is now time to decorate it!
The National Art Gallery of the Bahamas along with artist Matthew Wildgoose will be hosting a mural painting workshop next week, from Tuesday the 2nd to Saturday the 6th of August.
