Reiss Engineering, Ltd. is the largest civil and environmental engineering firm headquartered in Nassau, and is a long-time supporter of the Bahamas Humane Society.
Over the past two weeks, Reiss Engineering staff have provided a wide variety of services, including painting, answering phones, fixing electrical systems, updating the database, accounts receivable, and adoption follow-up for the Society, a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization sustained almost entirely by donations.
The Bahamas Humane Society is comprised of a compassionate team, dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals and prevent cruelty to animals through continuous education in a variety of methods, to end pet over-population through an aggressive spay/neuter campaign from 2013-2018 and as a result of the two objectives to become a no-kill shelter by 2020.
“Our hope is that through donating our staff’s time, we can make a difference for this longstanding and reputable organization in our community,” said Reiss Engineering President Dr. Robert Reiss. “Many of us have adopted animals from the Bahamas Humane Society, and we always wish we could do more. We believe in giving back to the community.”
